No need to brave the Times Square crowd for New Year's Eve 2017, as you can watch live stream all of the festivities from the comfort of home.
The 8th annual Time Square webcast, provided by Livestream, is set to begin at 6 p.m. EST Saturday. It will cover all the big events from Times Square, starting with the ball raising and followed by live musical performances, hourly countdowns and behind-the-scenes stories and interviews, as we eagerly await the final countdown and ball drop.
Stay tuned to watch the webcast, which is featured below, and will also be streamed live on TimesSquareNYC.org, NewYearsEve.nyc, Livestream.com/2017 and TimesSquareBall.net. (You can also watch it on Android and Apple devices with the Times Square Ball App.)
The webcast will feature musicians Gavin DeGraw and Rachel Platten, along with rapper and songwriter Silento and upcoming artist Jojo Abot.
Platten will continue the New Year's Eve tradition of singing John Lennon's "Imagine" just before midnight.
The show will also tell the story behind the Times Square New Year's Eve celebration, which started in 1904.
In addition to the musical performances, network television host Allison Hagendorf will return for her fifth year as the Times Square New Year's Eve event host. The webcast will be hosted by Jonathan Bennett, who starred in Mean Girls and is the also the host of Cake Wars.

The time has come to ring in the new year and Sydney, Australia is one of the first countries to say hello to 2016. Luckily, thanks to the internet, you don’t have to fly around to world to witness their celebrations either!
The city of Sydney is streaming their New Year’s Eve festivities online, giving you the perfect view of a fireworks spectacular above the iconic Sydney Opera House.
The show kicks off at 9 p.m. local time — 5 a.m. ET/2 a.m. PT — with a family fireworks display. The midnight fireworks follow at the stroke of midnight, which is 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT for those in the United States.
You can watch the Sydney festivities live via streaming on the city’s official website. A soundtrack for the show will be broadcast live on Australian radio station 2Day FM, which can also be listened to online.Share this: Share this:

Gavin DeGraw and Rachel Platten are headlining a Times Square New Year’s Eve Live, Commercial-Free Webcast tonight. Platten is performing John Lennon’s “Imagine”, among some of her other hit songs. Meanwhile, DeGraw will sing some of his songs, including “I Don’t Want To Be” and “Not Over You” and “She Sets The City On Fire”. The webcast will cover the Ball Raising at 6 p.m., performances, behind-the-scenes footage and, of course, the ball drop. Silento and Jojo Abot are set to perform as well. Jonathan Bennett and Allison Hagendorf will serve as hosts.
The show will start at 6 p.m. ET on December 31, 2016 and end at 12:15 a.m. on January 1, 2017 ET and you can watch it live in the above video.
